Menopause is a natural stage in a woman's life that brings with it significant physical, emotional and mental changes. Physically, estrogen levels decrease, which can manifest itself in hot flashes, insomnia, skin changes and loss of bone density. Emotionally and mentally, many women experience emotional ups and downs, anxiety or feelings of uncertainty, but also an opportunity for introspection and self-knowledge.
This stage can become a wonderful experience if we understand it and prepare ourselves properly. It is very important to learn how to take care of ourselves to support the changes that occur during this stage, nourish ourselves with foods rich in antioxidants, omega-3 and natural phytoestrogens, along with self-care practices that foster connection with our own body.
Preparing for menopause involves embracing healthy changes in our daily routine, such as maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, stress management and prioritizing rest. The holistic vision of Ayurveda and Yoga offers powerful tools to go through this stage with harmony.
A personalized Ayurvedic program may include therapies such as massage with nourishing oils, specific detoxifications (Panchakarma), and the use of adaptogenic herbs such as Shatavari and Ashwagandha. These practices help balance the doshas and alleviate the physical and emotional symptoms of menopause.
Yoga complements this approach by providing gentle exercises, conscious breathing (pranayama) and meditation, promoting mental calm and emotional well-being. Together, these disciplines not only alleviate discomforts, but also empower women to embrace this stage as an opportunity for renewal, inner connection and fulfillment.

Ayurveda pays special attention to the quality of the body's tissues, proper rest and habits that favor inner peace and balance.
One of the easiest and most powerful traditional Ayurvedic practices we can do is Abhyanga (hot oil massage). When we apply oil, the body becomes more flexible and able to adapt to life's challenges. We feel nourished, grounded and flexible. This is an amazing practice for women before pregnancy, during pregnancy with modifications, and especially important after delivery! When daily massage is done from the early days, it helps prevent stretch marks, itchy feeling and dark skin discoloration caused by pregnancy. Some studies revealed that abhyanga massage performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, reduce symptoms of depression, relieve muscle and joint pain, and improve birth outcomes and newborn health. In addition, it addresses many common discomforts associated with skeletal and circulatory changes caused by hormonal changes.

Ayurvedic wellness routines allow us to create small rituals of self-care and reconnection in our daily lives that help us to bring ourselves back to center and reconnect with the peace and beauty of each moment. From the moment of conception, a pregnant woman's body undergoes continuous changes. Some persist for weeks or months; others last only a short time. These little rituals become an anchor, a homecoming, a space where we feel grounded, accepted and grateful for each moment we experience during pregnancy.

Who I am
Women are cyclical and complex beings. Part of this cyclicality is determined by the delicate balance in the dance of our hormones.
Knowing our cycles, the changes that each cycle brings not only on a physical level but also on an emotional, mental and spiritual level is fundamental to flow through the different stages of our life with grace, awareness and balance.
I consider my pregnancy to be a turning point in my life because of the great psychophysical changes it brought about, in addition to motherhood. It has been scientifically proven that pregnancy and becoming a mother changes our brain.
Then came perimenopause with new changes to face.
I feel fortunate to be a woman and to have the opportunity to contain in my body and psyche the wisdom of the cycles and of life itself. However, most of the time we disconnect from our innate intuition and wisdom, and we need someone to guide us on the path of rediscovery.
